The more significant upgrade, however, is the addition of a 120Hz refresh rate, bringing Apple’s smooth-scrolling ProMotion technology to the non-Pro model for the first time.
Historically, Apple has limited 120Hz ProMotion displays to its iPhone Pro models. This technology allows for more fluid animations and adaptive refresh rates, enhancing overall responsiveness. Introducing this feature to the standard iPhone 17 marks a meaningful step toward narrowing the gap between the standard and Pro variants.
Entire Lineup to See Display Changes

Rumors suggest the base and Air models may be powered by the A18 or A19 chipset and offer 8GB of RAM.
